Coalition of Registered Political Parties Kogi State chapter have endorsed the PDP Senatorial candidate for Kogi East, Senator Ali Atai Aidoko for continuity.
This was contained in a statement that was signed by the chairman of the coalition Godwin Atawodi.
The leaders of the coalition which is made up of 21 political parties said their endorsement of the senator is premised on the need for him to consolidate on the mandate given to him by Igala/Bassa people for the dividends of democracy to reach them.
“Continuity of a member in the National Assembly has the advantage bringing about consistency and dividends of democracy, the experience of a two term senator that can be deployed in to productive channel of development for the people of Kogi East.
“Senator Aidoko is no longer a novice in the business of lawmaking that will have direct bearing on his constituency.”
The coalition therefore called on the Igala/Bassa land to support the continuity of Senator Aidoko for consolidation and transformation.
The statement also clarified that the earlier endorsement of the ADC candidate by United Political Parties (UPP) does not involve United Progressive Party (UPP) saying that it is coincidental that the abbreviation are similar.
Not less than 21 political parties that are part of the coalition signed the endorsement agreement.
