Cambridge International Examination (C.I.E) with the collaboration of the British Council Nigeria have accredited Silver Valley International College, Kabba (accreditation number -G620).
Cambridge International Examination is a department in the University of Cambridge, England. This accreditation offers the college the opportunity to present their J.S.3 students for Cambridge Lower Secondary Checkpoint examination and the SS2 students for the Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE)examination.
IGCSE is proven to improve student performance by developing skills in creative thinking, enquiry and problem solving and its qualifications are accepted and valued by many leading universities around the world.
Responding to the accreditation of the college by CIE, the Chairman SVIC Board of Governors, Mr.Simeon Oke, a retired Director, Kabba/Bunu Zonal Education said the accreditation will boost the profile of the college and support its vision to be a school renowned internationally for academic excellence.
In his congratulatory message to the college, High Chief Joseph Osagbemi, a member of the college Board of Governors and former Permanent Secretary, Kogi State Ministry of Education said the accreditation is a significant milestone achievement by the college and is a recognition of the school’s high academic standard.
Silver Valley International College is committed to high standard of education. Silver Valley International College is the only CIE accredited college in Kogi state.
SVIC runs the Nigerian and British curriculum. SVIC will present her first set of candidates for the CIE examinations in 2021.
