—–Only ingrates won’t appreciate efforts of Buhari ― Yahaya Bello
Senator representing Kogi West, Smart Adeyemi, says the 2022 national budget proposal presented before the National Assembly by President Muhammadu Buhari is not in tune with Nigeria’s economic reality, describing it as “dubious” and “questionable.”
Mr Adeyemi, a member of the ruling All Progressive Congress, derided the Buhari regime and its economic eggheads for failing to invest in Ajaokuta steel project, despite huge unemployment issues in the country.
“And you will ask a question, the economy team of Mr President Muhammadu Buhari, are they…
Meanwhile the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, has said that only ingrates will not appreciate the sacrifices President Muhammadu Buhari has been making for the country.
The Governor said that what the President needs is for Nigerians and his followers to support him to succeed.
Receiving the traditional, political leaders from Daura and other parts of Kogi State, the Governor assured that he will soon answer the call of Nigerians to succeed the President in 2023.
“It will take an ingrate not to appreciate what President Muhammadu Buhari has been doing and is still doing for this country. President Buhari from history has been sacrificing and is still sacrificing for the unity, security, prosperity and for the emancipation of this country right from his days in the military and now as a civilian.
“The least we as a people will do for him is to ensure that we do everything possible whether in the open or secret is to support him for him to succeed. So whatever we are doing today is to ensure that we support him to succeed.
“When Mr President succeeds, he is not succeeding for himself, his success is for Nigerians, whoever is wishing him to fail, is wishing Nigeria to fail. Very soon, I am going to answer the call of Nigerians to run for the presidency,” he said.
Furthermore, the Kogi Governor said “this visit is to encourage us more to continue to do our best without any condition attached.
“So, based on that, if Nigerians are asking me to support Mr President or to succeed Mr President, I will never look sideways, I will be ready to serve in order to build on what Mr President has started, what he is doing and how he wishes Nigeria to be successful and prosperous.
“That is why Mr President is grooming the younger generation, politicians from across the country and ensuring that there is legislation that is going to support and open the ways for the younger generation.”
Speaking, the leader and spokesman of the group, Abba Mato Daura, said the people of Katsina State under his leadership visited the governor for two reasons,
“We are here to appreciate you on how you visit the people of Daura especially our Emir and some of the political elders.
“We are here to give our support and solidarity to what you are yearning for because you really supported our President. So we in Daura, Katsina State really appreciate what you are doing.
“So the main reason why we are here is to show solidarity to you so that when we go back home, we will try to see how we can help you, what kind of support we will give you so that your dreams can become reality,” he noted.
