THE Kogi State governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello on Saturday casted his vote alongside his wife Hajia Amina Bello at Agasa ward 1at about 8.45am.
The governor who arrived the polling unite around 8.30 am was received by the INEC officials as he and his wife were accredited before they finally casted their votes
Speaking with newsmen shortly after voting, governor Bello commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for good job.
He stressed that unlike during the presidential election when card reader failed in his polling unite.
He not that if what he witnessed in Kogi central in times of peaceful election other areas in the state will surely record peaceful election.
He said the All Progressive Congress (APC) will definitely win Saturday Governorship election and the Kogi west senatorial election.
Meanwhile, in Kogi central it was observed that as early as 7 am voters were already on queue to vote at Ogaminana in Adavi local government council also at Okene in Okene local government council.
In some areas in Okene, officials of INEC arrived the polling center at about 8am and commenced accreditation of voters without any problem.
Also in Ogori/Magogo, Ajaokuta and Okehi local government councils respectively .
