The Confederation of All Progressives Congress, APC support group has condemned former Head of State General Ibrahim Babangida’s autobiography titled ‘A Journey In Service’.
The support group at a press conference chaired by Professor Kailani Mohammed maintained that the timing of the autobiography by General Babangida was wrong, noting that most of the key actors mentioned in the book were dead which make it lack credibility.
According to him, “General Babangida ought to have put forward his autobiography before now not until the key actors that he mentioned in the book were all long gone. Before now a lot of books have been written about his past government by some of this actors before their demise and some accounts by those close to them, but it is shocking that how dear general wait this long to write his own book.
“It is not far fetched now that age has caught up with General Babangida and we all know what old age usually does to people. What I can see in that autobiography is self glorification which ought not to be. It is my belief that there is still time for General Babangida to set the record straight for his peace sake”, he declared.
During the press conference, Professor Kailani Mohammed also call for support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration saying that the present government from the look of things is really working hard to make Nigeria great again.
All and sundry must join hands to support this government efforts to reposition the country for the better. Through our unity in diversity we can achieve great things as a nation but all hands must be on deck in supporting this government efforts to achieve better Nigeria “, he stated.
