The Caretaker Chairman of Ajaokuta local government area of Kogi State, Hon. Haruna Ogido has pledged more support for the Fulani community living in the local government.
The Caretaker Chairman who visited the Fulani community said his administration will do it best to support the community.
He pointed out that he appreciates the effort of the Fulani commumity in maintaining peace in the area adding that they should not allow hoodlums and criminals to invade the local government area.
According to him, the people of Ajaokuta community and the Fulani community have been living together for long without any problem, advised them to always point out any criminal among them to the law enforcement agencies in the state.
He commended the Director of Schools for Africa, Rev. Phyllis Sortor for estarblishing the Schools, Clinic, and Grazing area in the community.
Meanwhile, Rev. Sortor while receiving the Chairman and his entourage to the Fulani community commended the chairman for visiting.
She pointed out that she appreciate the Caretaker Chairman of Ajaokuta for taken his time to visit the Fulani Community that have been living peacefully with other communities in Ajaoukta local government area.
Also speaking, the leader of the Fulani commumity, Chief Adamu Suleiman Jouro, thanks the local government Chairman for the visit.
He promised that they will continue to maintain peace with other communities in the area stressing that this was the first time a Chairman of the local government will be visiting them describing the visit as first of its kind.
The Kogi State Secretary of Mayeyti Allah Cattle Breeder Association, Comr. Adamu Abubakar thanked the chairman for visiting the Fulani commumity stressing that the relationship between them and other communities will continue to bring peace and progress to the local government.
