The Rector, Federal Polytechnic Idah, Dr.Yahaya Baba Usman has been honoured with the African International Role Model Leadership Gold award of Excellence.
The award which was bestowed on him by the African International News Magazine at National MeritHouse Maitama, Abuja on 29th May,2024 was in recognition of his selfless services to humanity towards sustainable growth and development in Africa.
Dr.Charles Ifechukwu Onwurah, Chairman of the Organisation, while presenting the award to Dr.Y.B.Usman who was represented by Dr. Muhammed Ikagu Yusufu, Deputy Rector, Academics noted that the Rector deserved more than this award based on his trackrecords of achievements which were overwhelming and equaltonone since assumption of duty as Rector.
Dr.M.I.Yusufu, in his message from the Rector to African International NewsMagazine thanked the organization and pledged to do more for the development of Education in Nigeria.
Other awardees are HisExcellency/Sen.UmarAbubakarTafida,HRM,Igwe(Sir)GeorgeEjianya-OnwuoguIgwe,Orachili Nwagua and others.
Present at the award ceremony were Mr. Sunday Sule Omale, Head, Public Relations and Protocols and Mr.Ayuba Bello, Special Assistant to the Rector.
