The Commissioner for Finance, Budget and Economic planning, Hon. Asiwaju Idris has congratulated women on the celebration of the 2020 international Women’s Day.
In a statement to commemorate this year celebration, the Commissioner said the roles of women in nation building cannot be overemphasized.
He commended them for their resilience, saying a lot can still be achieved through Women’s participation and involvement in politics.
He said Women are significant and can contribute positively to the growth and development of not only the State but the country at large
While calling on women not to relegate and undermine their existence, he said he is optimistic that if given a chance, women can change the present narrative of the country hence the saying, if you educate a woman, you educate the nation.
