The Board of Trustee, Participation Initiative for Behavioural Change in Development (PIBCID) have appointed Ms Halima Oiza Sadiq as a substantive Executive Director of PIBCID a Non Governmental Organization that has been functioning in Kogi State in the last ten years.
This was contained in a statement signed and issued by the Chairman of PIBCID Dr Mohammed Usman and made available to newsmen in Lokoja on Wednesday.
The statement said Ms Sadiq along side five other applicants were subjected to thorough screening process that was considered fair, transparent and credible, saying at the end of the process she emerged as the Executive Director of the organisation.
According to the statement “The duty of the Executive Director are , to overseeing the administration, programmes and strategic plans of PIBCID, fund raising, consulting , supervision and to collaborate with the organization staff.
“Ensure strategic plans and its implementation as well as community outreach among others”
The statement added that the appointment takes effect from March 2nd , 2020
Speaking with newsmen , the newly appointed PIBCID Executive Director promised to ensure that the vision and mission of the organisation are achieved through hard work, dedication and commitment.
“I will ensure that the security and dignity of the society especially those that are marginalised and the ones living in poverty in Kogi state are actually defended for them to have equal participation and equal access to economic and social activities that will better their lives and removed them from abject poverty”
Ms Sadiq hold a Bachelor degree in Bio-Chemistry obtained from Kogi State University Anyigba, Kogi State. She also posses a Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Peace and Conflict Resolution Studies from the Federal University ,Lokoja.
Until her new appointment, she was a senior programme officer in the same organization.
