Kogi State Chapter Coordinators’ Forum of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has congratulated the immediate past commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Engr Abubakar Ohere for a wonderful tenure.
Chairman of the Coordinators’ Forum, Comrade Abdullahi Adamu made the commendation in a Press Statement signed by the Forum’s Director of Media and Publicity, Yabagi Mohammed.
Comrade Abdullahi Adamu further congratulated Engr Ohere for his re – appointment as the Special Adviser to the Governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, a position he held before his elevation to head the ministry as Commissioner.
He said Engr Ohere had done well in his capacities; both as a Special Adviser and a Commissioner, and prayed the Governor to consider people like that for such sensitive positions.
According to Comrade Abdullahi, the period the Special Adviser served as Commissioner was among the best periods for the ministry, hence the need to bring him back and ensure he consolidated on the gains that have been recorded so far.
He said Youth Council Coordinators in the 21 Local Government Areas of the State were full of gratitude for the support they enjoyed under Engr Ohere whom he also called a leader, father and guardian to the council.
The Chairman therefore applauded the State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello for his wisdom of retaining Engr Ohere in his cabinet, describing the gesture as a commendable one.
He then prayed Almighty God to continue to guide members of the present administration and the Governor, and solicit divine wisdom for Governor Bello to be able to pilot the affairs of the State to be able to reach enviable growth.
