30 years Mrs. Mercy Mudi Daniel, who had her right limb and leg amputated recently delivered a set of triplets , as she was trapped between offsetting the hospital bills and the upkeeps of the babies.
Madam Mercy Daniel, who hails from Ogbabo in Ofu Local Government Area of kogi state is married to her unemployed heartthrob of five years but the union was childless until recently when she took in and was delivered of a three bouncing baby boys.
Speaking to newsmen in her village, Mrs Daniel amidst sobbing, said , she grew up like every normal child full of expectations, until, about some years ago when she was involved in motor accident which led to the amputation of her right limb and leg.
She added that , her husband Mr. Mudi Daniel a subsistence farmer tried all he could to bear the brunt of medical bills and the family up keep but now weighed down by the recent delivery of three bouncing baby boys.
According to her,” My husband is a very loving and caring husband. He worked so hard, selling all that he has laboured for to see that im alive . He has been supportive as he doesnt want me to be stigmatized.
” However, our marriage is without the fruit of the womb , until recently when God answers our prayers. What can I say, I cant blame God, who knows my condition and still bless me with triplets.
” We have nothing to even go to the hospital for the delivery. God in his infinite mercy assisted me to deliver at home without problems. We have nothing to take care of these babies. We call on the government and well meaning Nigerians to help us to cope with the demand of their upkeep.
” We acknowledge the effort of the Deputy Governor of kogi state Hon. Edward Onoja, who visited us. We are soliciting for help from Nigerians so that these babies could be brought up normally .” She pleaded.
