Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Ododo, has declared that the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027 is a “personal project” for him, citing the numerous federal projects and interventions currently benefiting the state.
Governor Ododo made the declaration while receiving leaders of the Team Tinubu 2027 group during a courtesy visit at the Government House in Lokoja.
The governor praised President Tinubu for what he described as strategic developmental efforts aimed at transforming Kogi State and improving the nation’s economy.
He listed some of the key federal projects in the state to include the ongoing construction of the Abuja–Lokoja–Auchi road, renewed efforts toward the operationalisation of the Ajaokuta Steel Company, the approval of the Kogi Free Trade Zone, and the establishment of the Kogi International Airport.
According to him, the projects demonstrate the Federal Government’s commitment to infrastructure development, industrialisation, and economic revitalisation in Kogi State.
Governor Ododo stressed that sustained support for President Tinubu’s administration would ensure the completion and continuity of the projects for the benefit of the people.
The meeting was attended by the National Grand Patron of Team Tinubu 2027, Bishop Stephen Adegbite; the National Convener of the group, Hon. James Malu Agune; and Chief Ambassador Hassiat Suleiman, Special Adviser to the Governor on Strategic Investment and Liaison with Federal Agencies, who also serves as the North Central Patroness of Team Tinubu 2027.
Also present was the Kogi State Coordinator of Team Tinubu 2027, Hon. Abdulraheem Ohiare, alongside members of the entourage of the National Grand Patron, including former Inspector-General of Police, Mike Okiro, among others.
The highlight of the visit was the unveiling and presentation of the Team Tinubu 2027 branded wrapper to Governor Ododo.
The delegation reaffirmed its commitment to mobilising grassroots and institutional support across the North Central region and beyond in support of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda.
