
Governor of Kogi State, Ahmed Ododo, has felicitated with Muslims in the state on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, urging citizens to embrace unity, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence.
In his Sallah message issued on Friday, the governor described the season as a period that reflects the virtues of sacrifice, obedience, humility, and unwavering faith in Allah.
He noted that Eid-el-Fitr offers an opportunity for deep reflection on the lessons of Ramadan, including self-discipline, compassion, and total submission to the will of Allah, stressing that such values are essential in building a united and prosperous society.
Ododo reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to improving the welfare of the people, enhancing security, and delivering on campaign promises across all sectors of the state.
The governor commended residents for their resilience and continued support, assuring that his government would not relent in its efforts to justify the confidence reposed in it.
He also called on citizens to pray for the peace, unity, and stability of the country, while urging support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as he steers the nation through critical reforms.
Ododo further appealed to the people to use the festive period to promote love and harmony, irrespective of religious or political differences.
He wished Muslims in Kogi State a joyful and peaceful Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
