
The immediate past Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Prince Mathew Kolawole, has congratulated Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo over the Federal High Court Judgment that ordered the restoration and conduct of election into suppressed constituencies in the State.
Recalled that in a judgement delivered today, Justice Isah A. Danshan of the Federal High Court Lokoja, declared as mandatory for elections to be held in 2027 in the suppressed constituencies.
Prince Kolawole described as righting the wrong that has existed over the years, praised the courage of Barr. Zacchaeus Dare Michael, Kabba Bunu LGA Chairman, for his courage to stand for what is right.
The immediate Speaker praised Barr. Dare, said he has proven to be a man of justice, lauded his resilience for speaking for the voiceless.
The Former Speaker said he is happy that in his time and under the administration of Gov Ododo, justice has prevailed, with the restoration of the suppressed constituencies.
While he acknowledged that the case also dragged the State Government and the Assembly, he however commended the judgement as one that is in the right direction.
