The immediate past Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Prince Matthew Kolawole, has become a nightmare for failed representation, reason why his opponent has resought to using guerilla tactics.
It is no longer news that Prince Kolawole is more than ever before making waves as a top contender for the 2027 House of Representatives election in Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency.
We are not unaware that Prince Kolawole is considered a sure bet for APC. Recalled that in 2023, he won the House of of Representative Election before his opponent, who from all indices of representation has failed the people woefully, went through the back door to be announced winner.
The adage that says lies have expiry date seems to have caught up with Prince Kolawole’s opponent.
It is now in the public space, and very unfortunately, it is too late for the ADC man who has added no value, has boosted consistently that his godfather’s in Abuja will give him the ticket.
Prince Kolawole’s proven leadership as the immediate past Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Kolawole has earned him a reputation for exceptional leadership, humility, and dedication to his constituents.
In and out of Political office, it is on record that Prince Kolawole has empowered over 500 widows, initiated student support schemes, and facilitated infrastructure development, showcasing his commitment to the people.
His Legislative Excellence oversaw the passage of over 200 bills and motions aimed at good governance and economic development in Kogi State.
Feared for his grassroots support, Youths in the constituency have thrown their weight behind him, citing his proven leadership skills, commitment to empowering the people, and legislative accomplishments as his edge, reason why his opponent is throwing from left, right and centre is now sponsoring baseless write ups to distract him.
With a Community Focus that has envision for Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency, rooted in development, inclusivity, and people-first governance. Let it be stated without mincing words that come 2027, the people have made up their mind, will witness a Prince Kolawole return.
Prince Matthew Kolawole’s plans for his constituency if elected, will continue to hunt his opponent, who in close to three years has no motion or bill to his credit.
Compared to Hon. Leke Abejide and others, it is a shame that in history, Kabba Bunu Ijumu Federal Constituency has produced the kind of representation the area is witnessing.
