The Director General of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) governorship campaign organization and Honourable member representing Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency, Hon Tajudeen Yusuf may be having issues with the paramount ruler of Okunland, the Obaro of Kabba and Chairman Okun Area Traditional Council, Oba Solomon Dele Owoniyi over his acceptance to serve as the DG campaign of the PDP which was rejected by Senator Dino Melaye.
According to an impeccable source in Kabba, the monarch, majority of the chiefs, gbarufu and youths groups are not happy with the representative as they see his acceptance to serve as the DG campaign as an affront on the person and stool of the Obaro of Kabba.
The source further confirmed that Kabba community is not ready to work with the PDP or any other opposition party as they have resolved to continue to give their support to the current administration of Governor Yahaya Bello being the man God used to solve their age long dispute over the Obaro stool.
Speaking in Kabba, Chief Segun Michael described the actions of Hon TJ Yusuf as not in consonance with the position of the people of Kabba community.
He stressed that his acceptance to be the DG of Musa/Aro campaign is against the interest of the Oweland since he has not denied the fact that he is an Owe man.
‘At this critical time of our life, every well meaning Owe sons and daughters are expected to support and rally round our monarch, Oba Solomon Owoniyi, the Obaro of Kabba and Chairman of Okun Area Traditional Council’
Others who don’t want their names in print berated the action of Hon TJ, noting that what Ijumu man rejected he decided to take because he doesn’t have respect for the stool of Obaro being an Owe man, promising to vehemently work against him and his party.
Meanwhile, the People’s Democratic Party, (PDP) might be having it rough as efforts to have a united front is becoming more difficult.
Since the crisis ridden party primary in which Musa Wada was coronated the candidate of the party which is still a subject of litigation by one of the contending aspirants, Abubakar Ibrahim who have file a suit challenging the emergence of his brother in-law, it has been one issue to another.
