The group managing director of the Nigerian national petroleum corporation popularly called the NNPC is today been blamed for the perceived difficulties of the Nigerian oil industry is never in doubt.

Daily, people from different shades of opinion have been calling for his removal as a panacea to solve the labyrinths in the oil industry is also never in doubt. But what more disturbing is the fact that those calling for his immediate removal have not been able to propose other measures or steps to be taking to make better our oil sector which for a long time has been the main stay of the Nigerian economy rather than the politically oriented call for a change in the leadership of the corporation.

It is very important at this junction that we acknowledged the fact that all administration since the Advent of this democracy which we enjoy today have at one time or the other heeded to the political motivated call for the removal of the GMD’s of the NNPC but not too long after they were shown the way out before it realized that indeed it was not the head of this important national corporation that was the problem.

Dr.Mele KYARI is one of our best proffessional in the oil sector who have paid his dues in the development of the Nigerian oil industry and this is a fact that can never be denied him.

He is seen daily working patriotically hard and round the clock too in other to achieve the mandate given to him by the president in other to sanitize the country’s petroleum industry both in the upstream and the downstream and that is why recently I agree with the director general of the confederation of All APC support group, Dr. Mohammed Kialani that the recent protest seeking for the removal of the GMD is very unnecessary and any proposed protest in the shortest time should be shelve or stopped in the interest of the country and it’s oil industry.

Dr. Mele Kyari is on record one of the most successful managers of the Nigerian oil industry and we must avoid a situation where we throw the baby away with the bad water. It is quite true that the Nigerian petroleum industry is going through a difficult patch and this was necessitated by the series of reforms even though difficult introduced by this administration as a sure foot forward to normalize and eradicate the bottle necks which have for long drawn us back from achieving the inate potentials of the Nigerian oil sector for our growth and development as a nation.

The fact that we are going through a very difficult but necessary Reformation of the Nigerian oil sector is not in doubt and all we need is to be patient and make the necessary sacrifices that will make the sector better. The bitter pills prescriptions introduced by the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration was not made to suffer or punish her citizens but all we need to do is to show understanding with our leaders as postponing this reforms process is akin to postponing the evil days.

Dr. Mele Kyari is one of those around with the experience, penache, qualifications, exposure and understanding of the Nigerian oil industry and the workings of the international oil markets around to help the president fulfil on its mandates in the oil sector and showing him the way out is and should never be an option now.

The ingredients of improvements in the oil sector abounds everywhere for all to see but according to a former Russian President, Mikhail Gorbachev during the crisis of the effects of his introduction of the glasnost and perestroika reforms measures to modernise the Russian economy said inter Alia that ” A pessimist is a well informed optimist” and I share his views because as for Dr. Mele Kyari I share the views that he is very equiped to take the Nigerian oil industry to the promise Land through reforms and should be left alone in that position to achieve his promise to the country.

The sponsors of this protest are as usual the oil cartels and rent seeking persons who have for so long feeder fat on our God given resources as a nation and with this reforms introduced by the present administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu which is already yeilding good fruit, the period of business unusual is already getting to them and their evil intents. They want the head of Dr. Mele Kyari on a platter as a revenge mission for fighting against their interest and as citizens we must shine our eyes because who are not for us are against us.
