Kogiflame
My dear Kogites,
Today is historic, not only in the Islamic world, but also in the global calendar of iconic dates as we celebrate Mawlid al-Nabi, 2024, the commemoration of the birth of the Prophet of Islam, Muhammad (pbuh), and the place of permanent significance in human history which Allah (SWT) has bestowed upon him.
On Eid-Ul-Mawlid we celebrate the birth of a man whose exemplary life and faith have led billions to piety over many centuries and whose teachings continue to inspire the world to place great value on peace, compassion and justice, creating a well of humanity.
In Kogi State, we are proud of our rich diversity of tribes, religions, gender, age and physical abilities and we are determined to make this great endowment a source of strength – not division, discrimination or marginalization. Our administration is building a state where everyone is empowered mentally to appreciate the place of unity and the strength inherent in the defense and empowerment of the weak.
I therefore invite you all to continue to give our administration, an unflinching support as we rededicate ourselves to building a Kogi State where equity, fairness and constitutionalism are upheld, and where every citizen, regardless of age, creed or tribe is empowered and given a sense of inclusion.
Let me use this occasion to call for special prayers for the father of our dear nation, His Excellency, Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. As the Chief Pilot of our dear nation, he needs our prayers and support to achieve the laudable dreams encapsulated in the Renewed Hope Agenda to make our nation great.
I also seek your prayers as the Chief Servant of our dear state in order to continue to serve you selflessly with great dedication to your welfare, well-being and prosperity. We also need to pray for Nigerian leaders at all levels – that the Almighty God will grant us a heart of service and the fuel of selflessness needed to build a prosperous nation.
On this great occasion, May Allah (SWT) bless Nigeria with security, unity, prosperity, equity and a banner without stain.
Eid Mubarak!
HE Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo
Chief Servant of Kogi State
