Concerned Mopa Senior Citizen (CMSC) has been queried by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) over threat to the peaceful existence of Mopa and her people and also pose to usurp and hijack the role of Mopa Traditional Council as stipulated in the Kogi State Chieftaincy law of 2006.

It should be recalled that the CMSC in a publication on page 18, 3rd of July, 2024 on Leadership Newspaper, titled; “An Open Letter to Mopa Indigenes Worldwide on Elulu of Mopa Stool”, illegally, as against a court order (SUIT NO: KGS/IHC/21/2023 MORION NO: KGS/IHC/01M/2023) stalling them from intervening on issues and functions of the Mopa Traditional Council (MTC), still went ahead to make the said publication.

The CMSC, while it wasn’t registered yet, illegally approached the court with petition against Mopa Traditional Council and Kingmakers to acquire an injuction to stop the selection process and coronation of an Elulu.

The malicious publication on page 18, 3rd of July, 2024, is also capable of throwing Mopa into turmoil and causing disaffection between individuals, families, clans, and the entire town as it woefully stated that there is war in Mopa.

It is on the ground that CAC queried the CMSC, and that may be soon deregistered as their conduct is a threat to the peaceful coexistence and the development of Mopa and her esteem traditional council.
