The Kogi State Governmet has distributed relief materials to displaced persons at Bagana and Agojeju- Odo in Omala Local Government Area of the state.
The State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Ododo has ensuring prompt distribution of relief materials and also facilitated the quick released of relief materials from the Federal Government through National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to complement the efforts of Kogi State Government.
During the flagging off ceremony of the distribution of relief materials at Abejukolo, the Executive Secretary of SEMA, Muktar Atimah reiterating that the present administration of the governor will leave no stone unturned in bring permanent peace to Omala people as he equally preached love and admonished them to embrace peace.
He urged the communities to give absolute to support to governor so that he can consolidated on the good work of his predecessor in leading Kogi State to sustainable development.
The SEMA Executive Secretary thanked the NEMA team for the seamless distribution of the relief materials to the attacked victims.
The Head of NEMA team, Mr Agonta Collins, in his remark sympathized with the affected communities and thanked them for the orderliness during distribution and admonished them to be united.
The Omala Caretaker Chairman, Hon Edibo Ameh, thanked the Federal Government under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) for the love he showed to the people of Omala who were displaced from their original homes and relocated to IDPs camps.
Hon. Edibo Ameh equally appreciated the governor for sending relief materials to cushion the effects of the crisis.
Responding, One of the beneficiaries, Mr Suleiman Shehu from Bagana, appreciated the Federal Government and State Government for the love practically demonstrated to them.
He promised that Bagana people will remain committed in supporting the Current administration of Federal Government and Kogi State Government.
In the same vein, another beneficiaries, Mr Yusuf Idakwo from Agojeju-Odo, thanked Kogi State Government and Federal Government.
