The well being, progress and development of Kogi citizens have been described as non negotiable, and a reason why he has accepted the clarion call to seek a return bid to Lugard House in the forthcoming November governorship election.

Capt Idris Wada, former governor of Kogi State stated this when he officially declared his intention to seek a come back as governor of the state, lamented that the sufferings of the people, necessitated his acceptance to run the governorship election.

The former governor while addressing the state party executives, says it has become difficult to fold his hands and allow the unimaginable suffering of Kogi people, reason why he accepted the call to contest the governorship election.

Capt Wada tasked the PDP state Executives to see the forthcoming November governorship election as a defining moment that calls for deep reflection, said all hands must be on deck to make the November 16 governorship election a turning point for the state, says he has learnt and known so much that catapult the state’s all round development if elected.

While noting that within the available resources to his administration, he made the completion of inherited projects, payment of salaries a priority, said informed decision as to who becomes the next Kogi State Governor should be about capacity and experience, says his aspiration is about the people who now see suicide as option.

Capt. Wada says November 16, 2019 the governorship election present to the people another life line, says his administration made transparency, accountability and honesty his watchword, appealed for the support of the PDP executives to enable him realise his aspiration.

He disclosed that the peoples decision in who fly the party’s flag is crucial to making education, health care delivery affordable and infrastructure development central to the people, urged the party executives to create a level playing field that would allow for a candidate that is passionate in actualising the dream of a better and enviable Kogi fly the party’s flag.

The PDP aspirant disclosed that it would be suicidal if Kogi people mess up the only opportunity left in choosing a purposeful leader as governor, insisting that their only life line should be well utilized and should not be traded off for peanuts, and for anti Kogi progress.

Capt Wada assured that he would unlock Kogi’s rich potentials for the benefit of all Kogites if elected again, pointing out that, coming from an disadvantage position and from a humble background in life, his experience and integrity, will ensure he strived for development of human capacity and natural resources.

The former governor equally disclosed that the provision of needed infrastructures and engagement of best hands and up to date technologies to put Kogi among the best economies remains his focus having learned a lot in his first term as governor.

The PDP aspirant says if he is elected, promised to to create Jobs, insisting that he is in the guber race to make the state work for the people and to return the state to the path of fulfilling that promise that people desired at the creation of the state.
