As part of efforts to commemorate the anniversary of Governor Yahaya Bello at the helms of affairs, different Women Groups came together in Lokoja, Wednesday and walked ten miles within the metropolis to Government House to deliver a letter of appreciation to the Governor.
The letter read in part:” We will not march, we will not demonstrate, we will work to bear witness to all the good works you have done and is still doing for us as women and our families. We have listened to reports, and we have seen that the place of women have been affirmed in the annals of the history of kogi State in particular and to Nigeria in general”.
The Secretary to the Government of Kogi State, Mrs. Folashade Arike Ayoade, Ph.D who is the frontrunner of the Women Groups delivered the letter to His Excellency, the Governor on behalf of the Women Groups.
Receiving the letter on behalf of the Governor, His Excellency, the Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Chief Edward David Onoja CIK, thanked the Women Groups for their show of strength and love for his Principal and promises to deliver the letter to Governor Yahaya Bello.
