Senator Oloriegbe To Give Science Prizes To Almamata.

The Senator representing Kwara Central Senatorial District at the 9th Senate Session of National Assembly Sen. Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegbe has expressed the readiness to dole out science Prizes to students who distinguished themselves in four science subjects in Ansarul Islam Secondary School Oloje, Ilorin his Almamata
Speaking at the Golden Jubilee Anniversary and prayer organised by the Alumni association of Ansarul Islam Secondary School, Oloje, Ilorin 1971-2021 Oloriegbe who said he came out in flying colours in four science subjects in the school in 1979 noted that in the next ten years prizes that worth N25,000 would be awarded in each of the four science subjects which include Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematic ,” N100,000 per annum 10 years will be 1 Million . I wil pay the 1Million naira. the ALumni will be given the money which they should fixed or invest” he said
He added that his children can take over from him after the ten years noted that two projects from Federal government would be carried out in the school through his office which include additional block of class room and science laboratory equipment, as the Alumni is set to establish University and build a befitting hall in the school.
In an interview with newsmen Oloriegbe said ” I’m here today as an Alumnus of Ansarul Islam Secondary School. The Alumni are organising and celebrating 50th years anniversary of the establishment of the school that is why i joined them. I have been contributing i will continue to do that when i was elected last year, the Alumni association met with me, they explained to me that water was a problem in the school, one of the old Alumni supported the school before to dril a borehole but failed i have been able to reactivate that i drill a new borehole, i did a reticulation so that the school could have water, based on this 50th anniversary, they have highlited some projects that they want to implemented and i have already pledged the donation of block of class rooms as well as science and laboratory equipment to equip and upgrade the science laboratory in the school that is my own specific projects but in addition to that i have contributed money for their bigger project that they have. The essence of Alumni is to come together to give back to an institution that have made you what you are whatever I’m today is as a result of the education, the skill, the morale that was instil in me in this school it behoves on me and everybody that have gone to this school to always come to make the place a place to be proud of, in life you must continue to give so that you make the place greater than you met it the future generation can be better that is the essence of human living we have to make our future better than our today” he said
Meanwhile the chairperson Central working committe Hon Nimota Ibrahim old student of the secondary school stressed the need to be dedicated and serve in anywhere they found themselves as she said she has used her position in the state to help her Almamata “
