A gas explosion had engulfed a Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB) branch in Kuto, Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital on Tuesday as many people allegedly killed by the explosion
The gas explosion according to an eye witnessed account was triggered by a petrol laden tanker that fell opposite the bank, spilling its content to the road.
Minutes after, the tanker accident caused a huge explosion, trapping commuters, bank staff and customers.
Operatives of the Federal Fire Service are at the scene of the explosion trying to quell the raging fire at the time of this report.
