Nigerian Integrity Movement NIM,has hailed the sanction clampdown on three major broadcast stations in Nigeria, AIT, Channels And Arise TV,saying it is the best way to hamper unending civil strife.
NIM in a statement personally signed by it’s secretary,John Aikulola commended the Management of the NBC on it’s patriotic and nationalistic decisions,as it will serve as deterrent to others.
He urged the NBC Management not only to sanction the erring media houses,but monitor it’s activities and news contents in the next one year before airing as part of the Sanctions.
The NIM says the decisions of the broadcast stations was deliberate,so as to throw the country into full blown crises,that has under cover advantages to the Organizations.
He commended the Management of NBC for being democratic in it’s decisions,rather than total clampdown on these broadcast stations.
He appealed to the Management to do more in the area of regualations of broadcast industries, particularly on the Radio stations and it’s inflammatory statements, capable of setting up the country against each other.
