Chief Barr. Natasha Hadiza Akpoti-Uduaghan has expressed optimism towards a resounding victory in the forthcoming primary and general elections as she appeared before the National Assembly Screening Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party for Kogi State on Wednesday in Lokoja, Kogi State.
This was contained in a statement by Hamza Lamisi Personal Assistant, Barr. Natasha Hadiza Akpoti-Uduaghan.
The statement quoted Akpoti while responding to journalists shortly after the screening exercise, Natasha, who was screened alongside six other aspirants for 2023 Kogi Central Senatorial race, expressed no worry over challenges as such are part of the electioneering times all over the world.
“Definitely there will be (challenges), and all over the world during election times there are always challenges, of course, in Kogi State its quite peculiar but I am optimistic. I am in a better platform, much more organized, better gatekeepers, so I am sure of a resounding victory” Natasha said.
Speaking on people’s expectation if voted into the Senate, Natasha said “I personally wrote my manifesto centred on Social Entrepreneurship, Justice, Equity, Economic Development, of course, Ajaokuta Steel is utmost on that. I have stayed silent from the media over the past two years because I understand the danger of exposing too much when you know there is a gang up.”
Natasha equally used the medium to express appreciation towards the love of the masses she has continually enjoyed over the years while encouraging other aspirants both men and women to see the growth and prosperity of the country beyond any particular gender “Nigeria cannot be grown with only one gender inside the system,” she added.
