The Governorship Candidate for Hope Democratic Party, Engr Abdulmalik Adama has promised to initiate programs and policies that will accelerate development in the state.

Engineer Adama Stated this in Lokoja shortly after the party delegates unanimously adopted him as the Governorship flag bearer of the party.

He said Hope Democratic Party has become a major opposition to create a third force apart from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)and the ruling All Progressive Congress(APC).

Engineer Adama appealed to party men and the public to support Hope Democratic Party noting that the problems battling the nation is the resultant effect of recycling the same people at the political level.

According to him, his ambition was anchored on five thematic areas including; Security, Agriculture, Education, Health and Economic Revolution.

He promised to make the state to be less dependent on Federal Allocation saying his wealth of experience from developed nation he has visited will be utilized for rapid industrialization.

His words:”by the grace of All Mighty Allah, my agenda for Kogi state will not be based on what I get from national allocation. Since 1999, I have been privileged to understudy leadership in Europe and around the world. I have been privileged to be friends to the leaders of the United Arab Emirates, the leaders of Bahrain, the leadership pattern of Omar Oman, the leaders Quatre, Doha and so on. All these countries have developed due to quality and visionary leaders and that is excerctly what we will achieve in Kogi. “

He promised to facilitate billions of dollars from across the globe to assist Kogi to utilize it’s numerous mineral resources for the advancement of the state and the country at large.

On whether he is popular enough to confront the rulling party, Engineer Adama said the party which has structures across the state since 2017 would be a force to reckon with in the next election.

In a remark, the State Chairman of the Party, Hajiah Aisha Abdulsalam described Engineer Adama as a leader with vision and wealth of experience to transform the state.

She called on woman across the 21 local Government areas of the state to give their Maximum support to the aspirant.
